brock + jayde | short story | ballarat

Sometimes shit happens. Sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan. Sometimes a marquee company goes into receivership 6 days before your wedding.

But do you let that get you down? No. You pick yourself back up, move heaven and earth to find a new venue, and throw the best damn party Ballarat has ever seen.

And that’s exactly what Brock and Jayde did!

You can read more about Brock and Jayde’s story over at Ivory Tribe.

sarah + rabb | extended short | uluwatu

Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia.

Khayangan Estate.

Sarah + Rabb.

An amazing setting for an equally amazing couple.

We were immediately struck by how genuine and friendly Sarah + Rabb were, how they welcomed us into their wedding festivities with open arms, and how they trusted us to tell their story.

Perched high on the clifftops of Uluwatu, the stage was set for a beautiful ceremony, and the look on Rabb’s face as Sarah descended the stairs was something we won’t soon forget – a truly inspiring moment to witness.

Shooting with our good friend Tara Pearce of Erin + Tara, we made the most of the beautiful afternoon light and were able to watch the sun dip below the horizon as the cocktails flowed.

Poor Rabb copped quite a ribbing during the speeches, which provided plenty of laughs for everyone. He also organised a beautiful surprise tribute to Sarah’s late mother, with the release of 100 white balloons in her memory.

As the dance floor picked up, the heavens started to open. But this didn’t deter anyone! The shirts came off, the chairs went up, and the party carried on!

Day 2 saw a recovery party ease hangovers. It was a more relaxed affair, with swimming, music, and satay. It was a great way to unwind and spend more time with guests that had travelled far and wide to celebrate with Sarah + Rabb.

kim + nick | short story | melbourne

Keeper. Lover. Best friend.

Some key words that stood out to us from Kim + Nick’s wedding day.

We had an absolute ball capturing the day for this amazing couple. Being two of the most genuine, likeable people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting certainly helped.

Kimbo is an awesome photographer, and that’s how we originally met. It feels like forever ago now, at a non-descript pub in Lakes Entrance – the night before a wedding – where she impressed with her order of Steak and a beer.

A friendship was instantly formed, and we were stoked when Kim asked us to shoot her wedding for her. It was certainly different rocking up to a wedding with Kim and there not being a camera around her neck!

Nick is a great guy too, and way, way cooler than us. His record collection sure did impress.

Their wedding day was filled with laughter, love and joy – a true reflection of them, their family, and their friends.

Mr + Mrs Landy: Here’s to your best adventure yet.
