andrew + jaclyn | short story | melbourne

It’s a Monday. We’re having coffee with Jaclyn at one of our favourite haunts in South Melbourne.

We’re talking about what we do and how we do it, Jac is telling us about her and Andrew, the wedding, how it’s a crazy time right now cause she’s studying for the Bar. Impressed with her ability to be so studious AND plan a wedding, we neglected to mention that we’d both dropped out of Arts degrees and quickly moved on to other matters.

The point is – life is busy – there is always stuff going on. Then there’s the wedding, you might be buying a house, going away on a honeymoon. There can be a lot of stress. We always tell couples that the most important thing happening on the day is the two of you getting married.

You can’t control the weather, for example. So just enjoy the day. Enjoy each other. Enjoy your family. Enjoy your friends. Enjoy the moment, right here, right now.

And we think that notion is blindingly obvious in Andrew + Jaclyn’s film. You can see it in their faces. Those smiles. That warmth. They had fun.

And so did we.

Congratulations Andrew + Jaclyn – it will be wonderful indeed.

Georgie + Stu: The Behind The Scenes

When someone like Georgie Kay (of Georgeous fame) asks you to capture their own wedding for them, it’s a pretty humbling experience. After all, she’s a well-connected lady with access to all the top suppliers around the country.

After meeting with Georgie and Stu, it was immediately clear to us that we were going to need to incorporate the event itself into their wedding film. Georgeous and what Georgie does was simply too big a part of their story to ignore.

And so we set about planning our most ambitious behind the scenes film yet.

You’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see the actual wedding film, but we’re really excited to give you a sneak peak at what it takes to bring an event like this to life.

What you see above is the result of tireless work, huge passion, deep love, and a dedication to their craft – not just from us – from all of the incredible suppliers who helped bring this event to fruition. All under the watchful gaze and direction of Georgie and her team.

kim + kane | short story | yarra valley

Kim + Kane’s story took us back out to the Yarra Valley, a place where we have been spending more and more time recently.

Their ceremony was held in the stunning Alowyn Gardens, sprawling over 4 acres. The Wysteria Archway provided an intimate setting for their nuptials.

After some time spent exploring the gardens, a few champagnes and well-wishes from family and friends, we headed off to another favourite spot, Train Trak Winery. Location shots ensued before we settled in for an evening of wine, words and song – and of course Zonzo’s famous pizza!
